On August 4, 2015, it was reported that Steve Carr would next direct the film adjustment of the 2011 novel Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life composed by James Patterson, and the script was composed by Chris Bowman and Hubbel Palmer.[1] Griffin Gluck would assume the lead part as Rafe Khatchadorian, an understudy at Hills Village Middle School.
